The 6 Pools at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (2024)

Disney World » Caribbean Beach » The 6 Pools at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (2024)

One of the BEST parts about staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is the pools!

Whenever I hear friends or family are visiting Disney World, I always recommend planning at least an extra day to explore the resort and play in the pools.

This is no exception at Caribbean Beach. The resort has one main pool, the Fuentes del Morro Pool, and five additional pools, one for each area of the resort. This leaves plenty of opportunities to have fun in the sun and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather!

The 6 Pools at Caribbean Beach Resort:

Pool #1. The Fuentes Del Morro Pool

The Fuentes del Morro definitely steals the show with its incredible Spanish fort and pirate theme. This feature pool is close to the amenities in the Old Port Royale section of the resort.

It’s a big pool with a few different nooks and crannies to explore. Overall, the pool has lots of space for guests but stays extremely popular throughout the day.

The pool even has a side with zero-entry access!

Guests with mobility issues or very young children will appreciate the easy access via a gently sloping entry into Caribbean Beach’s main pool. This is the only moderate resort with this pool feature, though Disney’s Art of Animation also has a similar feature as a Value resort. View the zero-entry access here:

The Fuentes del Morro Pool also contains not just one but two separate water slides!

This is a huge perk for families since double the slides typically mean less wait time! The longer of the two water slides drops you directly into the middle of the pool, making it easier for parents to keep track of their kids.

Behind the larger section of the Spanish fort is a somewhat secluded area with a hot tub. This is a great feature for parents who want to get some quiet time away from the kids and all the hustle and bustle of the main pool.

Finally, the pool area also contains a splash pad with a pirate theme for kids to enjoy.

The splash pad is next to the main pool, making it easy to hop back and forth between the two. Check out the image on the ship’s helm—a hidden Mickey!

One of the best things about the Fuentes del Morro pool is its location.

Though it might be far from your room, depending on where you’re staying, it has tons of excellent amenities right next to it. Whether you’re looking for a solid full-service bar to grab a drink or catch the last 5 minutes of your favorite team, the Banana Cabana has you covered. It also serves some basic food options! Check out the menu here.

The pool is also adjacent to the lobby, which contains spots to sit inside and relax, and the resort’s quick-service location, Centertown Market. There is also a grab-and-go area where you can quickly get anything from the numerous refrigerators.

The mural inside of Centertown Market is a lot of fun!

One thing I should mention is the availability of lounge chairs and seating at the main pool. It can get busy in the afternoons, especially on hot days, so be sure to claim a spot quickly if you think you need a table to serve as a home base.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Fuentes del Morro pool is located next to Caribbean Cay.

The Cay is the resort’s miniature island, complete with lush plants and a playground. Just take a 20-second walk from the pool down the boardwalk across the bridge, and you’re there! This is a massive bonus if you have a large family with lots of kids who might want to split up and enjoy different activities. Overall, there’s a ton to see and do, so it’s easy to spend an entire day at this pool complex and never get bored.

Resort Section Leisure Pools

There are also smaller pools in each of the resort’s island sections: Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, and Martinique. The leisure pools in the sections far from Old Port Royale (Jamaica and Trinidad) can get quite busy, while the others often remain quiet and relaxing. Below, you’ll see the location and amenities of each leisure pool. Don’t forget that no matter which section of the resort you’re staying in, you can visit any pool to get the experience you’re looking for!

Pool #2. Aruba Leisure Pool

The Aruba section of Caribbean Beach is located across Barefoot Bay. It’s closer to the Riviera resort than to Old Port Royale! For this reason, the leisure pool at Aruba tends to be busier than some of the other sections.

Amenities at the Aruba leisure pool:

  • Life Jackets
  • Towels
  • Lounge Chairs & Tables
  • Umbrellas
  • Restrooms
  • ADA pool entry

Pool #3. Jamaica Leisure Pool

Like the Aruba pool, Jamaica’s leisure pool can get crowded because of its distance from Old Port Royale and the Fuentes del Morro pool. However, if you don’t mind a little hustle and bustle, this is a great pool to spend an afternoon splashing around while staying close to your room!

Amenities at the Jamaica leisure pool:

  • Life Jackets
  • Towels
  • Lounge Chairs & Tables
  • Umbrellas
  • Restrooms
  • ADA Pool Entry

Pool #4. Trinidad Leisure Pool

Trinidad is probably the second most popular pool at Caribbean Beach, after the Fuentes del Morro pool. The first reason is Trinidad’s distance from Old Port Royale, the furthest section from the resort’s main hub.

The second is a unique feature among Disney resorts: a secondary quick-service location next to the leisure pool! Spyglass Grill has a more extensive menu than Disney’s pool bars, so you have quite a few options here, including breakfast!

Amenities at the Trinidad leisure pool:

  • Life Jackets
  • Towels
  • Lounge Chairs & Tables
  • Umbrellas
  • Restrooms
  • ADA Pool Entry
  • Spyglass Grill Quick-Service – View Menu Here!

Pool #5. Barbados Leisure Pool

The Barbados leisure pool is one of the quietest because it’s a smaller section and very close to the larger, more popular Fuentes del Morro pool. You can almost always find a secluded spot to lounge around and sometimes even have the pool to yourself!

Amenities at the Jamaica leisure pool:

  • Life Jackets
  • Towels
  • Lounge Chairs & Tables
  • Umbrellas
  • Restrooms
  • ADA Pool Entry

Pool #6. Martinique Leisure Pool

Like Barbados, the Martinique leisure pool stays relatively empty most of the time. This small section of the resort has a larger pool area because it originally served the guest rooms that were replaced by the Riviera resort. It’s a great option if you want a larger pool without the noise and activity of Fuentes del Morro!

Amenities at the Martinique leisure pool:

  • Life Jackets
  • Towels
  • Lounge Chairs & Tables
  • Umbrellas
  • Restrooms
  • ADA Pool Entry
