I don’t think anyone has uttered this phrase in the history of vacations! 🙂
As you plan your vacation to Disneyland, it can be shocking to discover how much tickets cost. Trust me, I’ve been there!
Below, you will learn 7 ways you can purchase discounted Disneyland tickets.
We will explore many options, including authorized resellers and some lesser-known strategies. I only included reputable options you can trust, so don’t expect me to recommend Craigslist or eBay to find Disneyland tickets!
Lastly, before you begin, let me temper your expectations slightly. You will not receive massive discounts from any of the options below, such as 20% off or more, as this just isn’t possible. But as you will see, saving a bit of money without putting in much extra effort is possible.
Where to Buy Discount Disneyland Tickets:
#1. Undercover Tourist

One of my favorite places to buy cheaper Disneyland tickets is Undercover Tourist!
They are known for their incredible customer service and generous REFUND policy. Here is how it works:
- Your Disneyland tickets can be returned up to ONE YEAR after you bought them. This is a huge benefit, as even Disney doesn’t offer refunds if you purchase directly from them.
Below, you will see my comparison of buying tickets to Disneyland with Undercover Tourist versus if you got them directly from Disney. I used the following assumptions:
- 4-Day Disneyland Park Hopper tickets used on March 9, 10, 11, & 12.
- A family of four, including two adults and two children between the ages of 3-9.
For almost no extra effort, Undercover Tourist saves $113.76 for these Disneyland tickets!
I like the transparency that Undercover Tourist provides by ensuring no hidden fees or additional taxes. I even made sure to get to the end of the checkout process to make sure the $1896.24 was EXACTLY what I had to pay (and it was).

I know that having trust in the place you are getting tickets is incredibly important, which is one big reason Get Away Today is highly recommended. They have been around for over 30 years and help thousands of people every year save money on Disneyland admission.
How much money can you save on Disneyland tickets with Get Away Today?
Well, it depends on many factors, including the length of your stay, how many people are in your party, and the type of ticket you want to purchase.
But for fun, I compared the prices of buying tickets to Disneyland with Get Away Today and if you bought them directly from Disney. Here are the assumptions I used:
- 4-Day Disneyland Park Hopper tickets used on March 9, 10, 11, & 12.
- A family of four, including two adults and two children between the ages of 3-9.
As you can see, buying the tickets with Get Away Today instead of directly with Disney saves you $20.00!
And just so you know, tax and any other fees are already included in the price with Get Away Today, so in the above example, $1990 is exactly what you would pay.

Lastly, Disneyland tickets purchased with Get Away Today have the same benefits as those bought directly through Disney. Once you buy the tickets, log in to MyDisneyland.com and enter the numbers off your tickets to make reservations, etc.
#3. Buy discounted tickets directly from Disneyland
While it’s usually cheaper to buy Disneyland tickets elsewhere, sometimes the BEST place to purchase is right on Disney’s website.
Disney has a page titled “Offers & Discounts.” There are always a few specials that might fit what you are looking for perfectly! For example, on the particular date of this writing, this was the special offer:
- Kids’ special 1-day, 1-park ticket for $50

For this deal, you had to travel during a specific date range and avoid a few blackout dates. So, this could be a great option as long as you get lucky and the current specials fit exactly what your family needs!
#4. Discounted tickets for members of the military!
As a thank you, Disneyland offers tickets at a reduced price to people who served in the United States military.
To see how much you can save, you will need to head to this page on Disney’s website. As you will see, the Disney Military Salute Ticket offers 3 or 4 day passes, along with different Park Hopper options.
To purchase these tickets, you need to head to your nearest US military sales outlet. I found this PDF on Disney’s site that lists locations by state.
#5. Government, Membership, or Corporate Discounts
You should also check for discounted Disneyland tickets is with your employer or any groups you might be associated with.
For example, I used to work for State Farm Insurance. There was an entire list of businesses where we received extra savings, with tickets to Disneyland being one of those places!
Regarding memberships, two popular options include buying tickets with AAA or Sam’s Club.
That said, I have found that the prices with any of the options above are very close to the discount tickets you can buy through Get Away Today, Undercover Tourist, or OrlandoVacation.com. So, if you want to save time, I think it’s easier to buy your tickets through one of these options.
#6. Southern California residents can save BIG on WDW tickets
If you live in Southern California, make sure you take advantage to save money on your Disneyland tickets!
You will want to head HERE to learn more and see the current specials. The deals for tickets are typically pretty great and much cheaper than anywhere else. The only negative is there are some blackout dates.
Please be aware that you have to verify Southern California residency to qualify for these discounted Disneyland tickets. But to help save time, you can do this online before arriving at the parks.
#7. Annual Passes (Magic Key Passes)
Disneyland offers Magic Key Passes, which are annual passes for the parks. They include discounts on lodging, parking, food, merchandise, and other benefits like special events.
However, Magic Key Pass sales are currently suspended, and there is no information on whether Disneyland will begin offering them again.

As you shop for discount Disneyland tickets, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure you compare the prices of tickets in a few different places. You never know who will have the best rates for the days you plan on visiting.
- Children under the age of 3 are FREE, but make sure to think about the age your kids will be when you visit. Children between the ages of 3 and 9 qualify for a child ticket, while anyone ten or older requires an adult ticket.
- If you are only visiting Disneyland for one day, don’t expect much of a discount. You can rarely find savings on 1-day passes, so I wouldn’t waste too much time searching.
- Typically, the more days you plan to visit Disneyland, the bigger the discounts you can expect.
- When you compare the prices of Disneyland tickets, it’s important that you use the EXACT same dates. This is because ticket prices vary by start date, depending on the time of the year and how busy the parks are expected to be.
- It’s also important to ensure you select the same TYPE of ticket as you compare prices. For example, it’s very easy to choose a Standard Theme Park Ticket in one place and then click on a Single Park option elsewhere, which makes it impossible to know which tickets are cheaper!
- It is almost always best to buy tickets as far in advance as possible. Doing this allows you to lock in the current prices and avoid future increases. Trust me, Disneyland rarely decreases ticket prices, so you shouldn’t wait around hoping for a better deal. And buying tickets at the gate on the day of your visit will always be the most expensive.
