Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort for the first time. It was a quick trip to Orlando, so I wanted an inexpensive room still on Disney World property.

All-Star Sports is considered a Value Resort, which means it’s one of the cheapest Disney hotels. Because of the price, it doesn’t come with many of the features and amenities that other resorts have.

Below, I am sharing a bunch of pictures I took when I first walked into the room.

All-Star Sports Room Tour:

First, when booking the room on Disney’s site, I chose the STANDARD room. There is also an option for a PREFERRED room, which costs a little more per night.

The only difference between the two options is WHERE your room is located. All-Star Sports is a really big resort. If you stay in the “Hoops Hotel” or “Homerun Hotel” buildings, it can be a 5-minute walk to get to Stadium Hall, the main lobby.

Booking a Preferred Room will guarantee your room is closer to Stadium Hall, where the dining and bus transportation is located.

Luckily, even though I booked a Standard Room, Disney put me in the “Surf’s Up!” building, which is right next to Stadium Hall!

All the rooms at All-Star Sports are 260 square feet (24 sq m) and feature two double beds.

But as you can see below, when you first walked in, there was only ONE bed.

Have no fear! Before you call the front desk upset that you only have one bed, you need to take a closer look at the desk with the two chairs.

Believe it or not, this desk turns into another bed. And don’t worry, it’s really easy to fold down. There are simple instructions sitting right on the table. It took less than 30 seconds to figure it out.

There is even some fun artwork on the headboard. Don’t worry that there are no pillows. If you look above at the other bed, there are SIX pillows on it, plenty to share between both beds.

A large television in the All-Star Sports rooms defaults to a channel showing the hours at the theme parks and Disney Springs. Below the TV is a dresser with a lot of storage space. The dresser also has built-in outlets that provide plenty of space to charge your electronics.

To the left of the dresser and TV is this piece of furniture. Here, you will find an ice bucket with plastic cups, a coffee maker, and a mini-fridge at the bottom.

Next, let’s move to the bathroom area at the back of the room. It only has one sink.

On the left, you will see a small closet to hang your clothes. There is also an ironing board, iron, tissues, hair dryer, towels, and soap.

If you turn to the right, you will find the bathroom. You will be happy to find a tub where you can give your kids a bath! There are also additional towels, along with shampoo, conditioner, and soap, in the shower.

The rooms are pretty basic at All-Star Sports.

But you can’t complain about the low prices! And I know when our family visits Disney World, we aren’t in the room very often anyway. We just need a place to rest and relax at night. These rooms are very clean and comfortable!

Here is a list of all the amenities found inside the rooms at All-Star Sports, along with pictures:

  • Mini-refrigerator. It cools down to 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 C).

There is NO room service at All-Star Sports since it is a “Value Resort” at Disney World. But feel free to take food back to your room from the food court.

Lastly, one neat benefit of staying at All-Star Sports is that you can visit the pools at either All-Star Music or All-Star Movies. Each of the three All-Star Resorts has TWO pools, giving you a total of SIX pools to try out.
