Searching for Hidden Mickeys is a fun FREE activity to do at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Whenever we stay on Disney property, we always make sure to go on a quest for hidden Mickeys. It’s a great, low-budget activity that you can do at your own pace. It can also be a convenient way to pass the time before dining reservations or on days you are not visiting the theme parks.

In case you don’t know, hidden Mickeys are subtle representations of Mickey Mouse. To recognize a hidden Mickey, look for a circle that represents Mickey’s face with two circles above it that represent his ears.

15 Hidden Mickeys at the Grand Floridian:


Hidden Mickey #1

Before you even step inside the Grand Floridian’s main lobby, you can find hidden Mickeys outside. Look up at the weather vanes of some of the resort buildings, and you will see a classic hidden Mickey on the weather vanes.

For the next hidden Mickey, we recommend going to the main lobby area, as this Mickey can be found on the resort’s luggage carts. Once you locate a cart, you’ll see the three-circle Mickey cutout design.

As you walk into the main lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you will find this hidden Mickey on the marble flooring. Look down at the marble floors, and you’ll find not only Mickey but also other classic Disney characters: Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald!

The next hidden Mickey is also found on the main lobby’s marble floors. For this one, look for a square corner with a green background, and you’ll find Mickey standing out in an orange-marble outline.

Look at the main lobby’s carpet to find the next hidden Mickey. Throughout the carpet’s design, you’ll find red and gold Mickey shapes.

You will find our final main lobby hidden Mickey on the wallpaper. On the wallpaper’s design, you’ll see a collection of Mickey shapes.

Near the main lobby, you’ll find the resort’s main gift shop, M. Mouse Mercantile. On the shop’s sign, there is a three-dimensional hidden Mickey connected to the banner that reads, “mercantile.”

The next hidden Mickey can be found over at the Grand Floridian Café. Look down at the carpet for a red stripe. Within the stripe, there is a white design where you can see this hidden Mickey.

The Grand Floridian Café is a casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner option at this resort. It’s easy to find as it’s located near the main lobby.


Hidden Mickey #9

Head over to Victoria and Albert’s, one of Disney’s most elegant restaurants, to find another hidden Mickey. On the carpet between the entrance’s podium and the formal dining area, you’ll find a single golden Mickey shape within the carpet’s pattern.

Unfortunately, when I visited, the restaurant wasn’t open yet, so I couldn’t get a picture. 🙂

If you are looking to enjoy a high-end dining experience while at the Grand Floridian Resort, Victoria & Albert’s is a great option to consider. It’s easy to find as it’s located in the main lobby area.


Hidden Mickey #10

Step out over to the Beach Pool area to find the next hidden Mickey. Look for the Mickey-shaped cutout against the rock of the area’s waterfall rock formation to see a very well-hidden Mickey.


The next two Hidden Mickeys are found at the Grand Floridian Convention Center.

Head over to the Grand Floridian Convention Center to find the next hidden Mickey. Once you are inside the main atrium, look up, and you’ll see a mural that includes a Mickey balloon.

While you are still at the Convention Center, look down at the carpet. A gold hidden Mickey can be found in the center of its fleur-de-lis carpet pattern.


The final three Hidden Mickeys are all found at the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

As you enter the villa’s main lobby, veer to the left and locate a map of the resort property. On the map, you’ll see a bunch of hidden Mickeys in the design of trees.

From the Villas main lobby, head over near the elevators to the iron gates in the atrium. At the bottom of each gate, you’ll see a hidden Mickey shaped out of the iron.

The final hidden Mickey can be found on the covered walkway between the Villas section and the Beach Pool. Look up at the walkway’s decorative latticework, and you’ll see a hidden Mickey in the pattern.
