How do you get from Disney’s Beach Club Resort to Epcot?
If you are staying at the Beach Club or planning a future visit, you probably want to know the different ways to get to Epcot from the resort. Below I will detail THREE specific ways you can make this journey.
But before you start reading, please know that you CAN NOT take the Disney buses to go to Epcot from the Beach Club. Many people mistakenly stand at the bus stop waiting for a bus to Epcot that is never going to arrive. 🙂
Option #1. Walk from the Beach Club to Epcot!
One of the BIGGEST benefits of staying at the Beach Club is that you can walk to Epcot. I can’t stress this point enough, as the walk is very short and only takes about 5 minutes! It’s incredibly liberating not having to wait for a boat or bus to arrive or stand in line for the Skyliner. 🙂
Finding the walkway that leads you to Epcot is incredibly easy to find.
- First, you will walk out the back of the Beach Club.
- Once you get near Crescent Lake, you will see a walkway that goes around the lake. Turn left and start walking on the pathway. At this point, Crescent Lake will be on your right.
- Keep heading straight until you get to Epcot. It’s only .3 miles (.5 km) away from the Beach Club, so you don’t have far to travel. You will also see signs that let you know you are heading in the correct direction.
Please be aware that you are not entering Epcot at the front main entrance by the iconic giant ball. Instead, you are entering the International Gateway, which is located at the BACK of the park. When you enter through the International Gateway, you will be near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France area.

How long does walking from the Beach Club to Epcot take?
The distance between the resort and the park is only .3 miles (.5 km). Your walk should only take 5 minutes.
Option #2. Take a boat to Epcot!
If you don’t feel like walking to Epcot, Disney also provides water transportation with their Friendship Boats.
To find the boat dock, walk out the back of the Beach Club and head towards Crescent Lake. As you get near the lake, you will take a RIGHT on the walkway.
From there, you will see a large dock that leads toward a lighthouse. To board the Friendship Boats, walk out onto the dock near the lighthouse.
Once you arrive at the lighthouse, make sure you board the correct boat, as you can also take a boat to go to Hollywood Studios. The boat that goes to Epcot will board on the left, and there are signs pointing exactly where you need to stand.
And don’t worry if you have a stroller, as they are allowed on the boats, but you must fold them. The Friendship Boats are also accessible for wheelchairs and motorized scooters.
In my opinion, you should NOT take the boat to go to Epcot.
Honestly, by the time you walk to the boat dock, you could have almost walked to Epcot already. In addition, once you are on the dock, you have to WAIT for the next boat to arrive. It is highly recommended to just walk to Epcot unless you really want to take a boat ride. 🙂

Option #3: Take an Uber, Lyft, or MINNIE Van to Epcot
As I mentioned before, I think the best way to get to Epcot from the Beach Club is to walk there and enter through the International Gateway.
But one downside to walking is even though it only takes 5 minutes to get to Epcot, you are at the back of the park. If your plan is to head straight to Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind or you have a dinner reservation at the Space 220 Restaurant, you have a much longer walk. It’s about a mile from the back of the Beach Club to the front entrance of Epcot, which would roughly be a 20-minute walk.
If you want to avoid such a long walk, it’s incredibly easy and inexpensive to use a rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft, to get to the front entrance of Epcot.
The easiest place to meet your driver is outside near the Beach Club front lobby, as there are plenty of spots for them to stop and for you to get in the car.
The driving distance from Disney’s Beach Club Resort to Epcot is only 3.4 miles (5.5 km), and the drive should take less than 10 minutes, depending on the amount of traffic. There is a designated drop-off area at the front of Epcot for rideshares.
TWO rideshare companies operate in Disney World – Uber and Lyft. Between them both, there are a lot of drivers cruising around. Almost every time I’ve used a rideshare to go to the parks, I’ve had to wait less than 10 minutes to get picked up.
One neat thing about using Lyft is that they have partnered with Disney World to provide MINNIE VANS, which are Minnie Mouse-themed mini-vans! While using the Lyft app inside the resort, choose Epcot as your destination. Then order the Minnie Van to come and pick you up.
While this option is fun, as you can see above, it is more expensive than a regular Lyft vehicle.
